Postal Department constituted New Formulary Committee for year 2018-2020
Department of Posts has constituted Formulary Committee for new edition of Postal Formulary for the year 2018-2020 and Mr. M. Sampath, CPMG, Tamilnadu Circle has been appointed as the Chairperson of the committee. The committee has been requested to submit its report within one month.

Sir,
I am directed to intimate that it has been decided to constitute a new
Formulary Committee comprising of following officers to examine and review the
existing formulary and draft new Postal Formulary for the year 2018-2020 :-

2. The terms of reference of the Committee are as under:-
i) The existing CGHS Formulary will form the base of the Postal Formulary.
ii) Enlarging the scope of existing formulary by addition/deletion of
medicines by carrying out an analysis of the medicine which are frequently purchased
from a local chemist thereby reducing dependence on the local purchase.

iii) inclusion of non-CGHS drugs in Postal Formulary.
iv) Consideration of items included in the V.M.S. of Government Medical
Stores Depots.

3, The date, time & venue for meetings of the Committee will be decided
by the Chairperson of the Committee. The Committee will submit its report within a
period of One month.
