Sub: Donation of one Day’s salary to PM CARES Fund – reg

This is an appeal to all officers and staff of Department of Posts to contribute their one day’s salary to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund to aid the Government’s effort to fight the Corona Virus pandemic.

2. Any officer or staff having objection to it may intimate to the identified telephone or WhatsApp or email of the concerned DDO by 14:00 hrs of 07-04-2020 positively. If no response is received by the prescribed date, it will be assumed that the officer/staff is willing to the proposed deduction. The deduction, equal to one day’s salary, will be made from arrears accrued on enhancement of DA.

3. All the DDOs will deduct the amount equal to one day’s salary of all officers and staff except those who have given objection by 8th April and deposit the amount in the above-mentioned fund by 9th April, 2020.

4. Following report will be submitted to this office by 16:00 hrs of 9th April for information of competent authority.
