Dated : March, 27th 2020

The Director General (Railway Health Services),
Railway Board,
NEW DELHI

Dear Sir,

Sub : Shifting of Railway Employees kept under quarantine/isolation by the Civil Administration to the Railway Quarantine/Isolation Centres.

In reference to above subject, it is learnt that some Railway Employees have been kept under quarantine/isolation by the Civil Administration on the basis of their contact/travel history at Civil Hospitals.

It may be appreciated that Railways being an essential service provider to the nation require utmost care for the well being of its employees to ensure smooth running of the system and in case they need to be kept under quarantine/isolation, they may be kept under Railway Quarantine/Isolation Centre only.

AIRF, therefore, demand that necessary instructions be issued immediately to the Railways to take necessary steps for shifting such Railway Employees, who have been kept under quarantine/isolation at CIVIL HOSPITALs etc. to the Railway Quarantine/Isolation Centres.

It may also be ensured that all such future cases must be kept at Railway Quarantine/Isolation Centres only.

THIS MAY BE TREATED AS MOST URGENT.

Yours sincerely
